bookling-stormborn replied to your post: 2:47am is when birds start chirping in the spring, in DC.
god, really? they don’t start until at least 4 in CT!
i don’t know!!!! this is the city of the birds that wake up really early????
Because so many of my rezponses are face-based. But then I remember that would mean my face being out there.
This post has been purposefully constructed to make me feel bad about myself.

YOU ALL NEEDED TO KNOW THIS. SO I SHARED THIS WITH YOU ALL.
Teaching program shenanigans: Student won’t send in permission slip for pics to be shared, My teaching partner tries to get in contact for weeks, un-possible, I try, un-possible, I tell the program director that we’ve tried and failed and this is probably due to student’s previous cyber-stalker probs.
I get this email that’s just like… “you should have told us sooner! you put [student] in danger!”
Bitch, please. The ONLY reason the student would be in danger is if you were sharing the photos without all the permission slips. Which would be a violation of YOUR OWN POLICY and something YOU did.
Also, I’m sorry, but was a previous cyber-stalker mandatory reporting? No, it isn’t. So suck a clit, you fucking ass. A mom told me about how photos on the internet had shaken the family in past, but that she was cool with pics if they didn’t have her daughter’s name on them, so I thought we could get the permission slip with that condition. Nowhere in that does it seem like you were entitled to any background information. Plenty of people deny permission slips all the time. There’s no essay section required for explaining why.
Fuck you, you fucking bitch. I swear to fucking god, I hate the woman who assists the program director.
The pun was an afterthought, I just really like Mamegoma.
WHITE
PEOPLE
#white people is basically the only thing that can be said about this video
I say sorry to everyone in the name of the white people all over the world
We’re sorry you had to see that
“Look how funky he is. I will never be hip.”
HAHAHAA OMG!
Actually, can someone for real tell me what this is from because I recognize this scene. I’m pretty sure I remember sitting on my grandma’s green shag carpet and watching this show on her wood panel tv set but I can’t for the life of me figure it out!
This is from one of the cinematic masterpiece known as Teen Witch. They used to run in pretty often on the Disney Channel in the 90’s, which is where I watched it about a million times.
God I miss this movie!
BUT WAIT I HAVE A STORY.
ALL THIS TIME GUYS, ALL THIS TIME. I thought that the kid on my bus who ended up being a popular but not jocky guy in my high school, rapped this to me on the bus once. And I was like, he’s a rapper! All this time, I thought HE made it up! And really, that fucker was at home watching bad 80s movies on TV just like me! THIS CHANGES MY ENTIRE LIFE.
^^^ best story
Hey, don’t hate. My people’s culture is beautiful and vibrant. The intricacies of our mating rituals are inspired by eons of traditions. This video marks a culmination of centuries of, just, the deepest, most culturally culture culture. white people.

I’m like when Zuko switched sides, I’ve decided. That’s why I’ve had trouble sleeping lately - my soul is clashing. And you know, it’s not because he was being a jerk to Korra as much as that one stupid fucking line he said to Asami when she wanted to go after her father. (“I know [you want to go after him], that’s why I’m going and you’re staying here.” Or whatever.)
I mean, call me feminist or whatever, (no, please do) but that line is so full of crap. I’d be so pissed if anyone ever said that to me. My freaking father is in danger. Asami doesn’t need Mako’s bullshit coddling. She clearly kicks ass! I’m sure he knows about her defense lessons! WTF, Mako. That’s why Equalists hate benders, yo - because you think non-benders are so inferior. People who think someone can’t handle themselves are doubting a person’s power. Mako doubts Asami’s power because… what? She’s a girl? She’s not a bender? She’s rich? It’s like, has he even bothered to get to know her at all? Who is he dating that he thinks she can’t handle an Equalist? (They can’t take her bending, Mako.)
(I bet this ends up making them break up. He keeps coddling her and she’s like, wtf Mako, I can do things on my own, you know. Stop cutting my food into smaller bites for me, stop asking me if my delicate butt hurts from sitting on the wooden bench.)
And, you know, it’s like… if it was just about Mako being motherly… Mako is motherly to Korra and Bolin (Mama Mako waddle, “I’m so glad you’re okay!”), but he still lets them fight. So it’s not like Mako caring for someone means he wants to hide them in a bubble.
But anyway, anyway. My point is, Mako’s dumb and I hate him. I HATE HIM.
Stupid Mako.
Bolin’s better.
Team Bolin.
Moar Borra fiction plz.

It’s problematic because ASOIAF isn’t just about deconstructing classic fantasy tropes (the Noble Fool, Evil Queen, etc) but also about deconstructing medieval concepts of gender and it’s impossible to do that one-handedly? Like, the four main female presences in the…
From the petition by Mike Raven:
My twin sister Ashley and I are incredibly close — for our entire childhood, we never spent more than four days apart. When Ashley came out as gay at 18, I was so proud of her strength. Her courage in the face of discrimination has inspired me, but it’s also broken my heart a few times.
It infuriates me when states like North Carolina pass laws saying that Ashley can’t get married because “marriage is defined as a union between a man and a woman.” Defined by whom? What does that even mean, and why should it allow anyone to deprive my sister of the right to marry the person she loves?
So, I decided. If this whole argument comes down to an intangible definition, then it’s time for that definition to change.
Dictionary.com says that more than 50 million people use its site every month, and its primary definition of marriage is “the social institution under which a man and woman establish their decision to live as husband and wife.” That’s not just personally offensive, it’s also factually incorrect — I live in New Hampshire, where it’s legal for all couples to get married, no matter their gender.
